On April 18, Nadmitov, Ivanov & Partners Managing Partner Alexander Nadmitov took part in the round table Issues of Legal Regulation and Application of Neural Network Technologies, organized by the National Research University Higher School of Economics in cooperation with the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation.
The event was attended by deputies of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, representatives of relevant executive authorities, experts in the field of AI, representatives of domestic IT giants - Yandex, Sber and Skolkovo.
The participants of the discussion discussed a wide range of issues related to the legal regulation of the activities of artificial intelligence in general and neural networks in particular, the moral and ethical aspects of the interaction between a person and a machine, the framework that should accompany the activities of AI, as well as the investment potential of technology on the scale of the Russian economy.
Alexander Nadmitov made a presentation on the topic: "Global regulation of artificial intelligence" on the example of the US, EU and China.
In general, the experts agreed that we should not talk about excessive regulation of the sphere. All measures taken should be aimed solely at protecting human and civil rights without creating obstacles to the constructive development of the industry.
