The US Department of Commerce has banned the supply of smartphones over $300 to Belarus and Russia.
In total, the restrictions will affect 276 positions. In particular, refrigerators over $750, dishwashers, electronic scales over $100, printers over $300, vacuum cleaners with a built-in electric motor over $100, microwave ovens for home use, household coffee machines, electric toasters, smartphones over $300, sound recording and reproducing equipment.
The United States banned the export of luxury goods to Russia in mid-March 2022. Then the sanctions list included alcohol, tobacco products, perfumes, clothing and footwear worth more than $1,000 per unit, precious stones, silk, electric cars, motorcycles, marine engines, concert grand pianos, etc. The administration of President Joe Biden then said that the embargo on the supply of American luxury goods to Russia would affect goods with a total export value of $ 550 million a year.
