Mikhail Stepkin, senior lawyer of the law firm Nadmitov, Ivanov and Partners, commented on Pravo.ru regarding criminal cases on the destruction of sanctioned products, namely the case of Urman LLC on the destruction of apples that fell under the sanctions.
Mikhail noted that this is not the first case of challenging the decisions of the Government of the Russian Federation on restricting the import of various products into the territory of the Russian Federation, but all the cases were unsuccessful. "A fairly unambiguous practice has been formed for considering cases on challenging sanctions measures," Mikhail said.
