Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree according to which the effect of economic counter-sanctions is extended until 31 December 2024.
We are talking about response measures to anti-Russian sanctions, including the food embargo. Western countries fell under their influence and introduced sectoral economic sanctions against Russia. The embargo included, for example, meat, fish, shellfish, milk and dairy products, vegetables and fruits from the EU, USA, and Canada. Australia and Norway.
The previous counter-sanctions expired on 31 December 2023.
