In addition, the criminal case was initiated before Izrailit submitted a special declaration, so the guarantees of a tax amnesty do not apply to him.
The shortcomings of the tax amnesty are now visible: it initially did not protect against a number of elements of the Criminal Code, such as money laundering (Article 174 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), fraud (Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) or foreign exchange transactions using forged documents (Article 193.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). At the same time, there is a risk that it is enough for the investigating authorities to obtain information about foreign assets in order to attract later on another team, not covered by the tax amnesty. And the hype surrounding the recent cases with seized special declarations will rather convince skeptics that it is dangerous to play such games with the state "
