Delgira Khodjaeva, a lawyer at the Nadmitov, Ivanov and Partners Law Firm, gave comments to Pravo.ru for the article "The State Duma Voted to Simplify the Provision of Mortgage Holidays."
The new bill, which should simplify the receipt of credit holidays for individual entrepreneurs and self-employed, passed the first reading in the State Duma. It gives banks the right to establish the list of documents that are needed to obtain vacations themselves.
“In this situation, the legislator tried to make the issuance of loans more flexible, since earlier banks had just refused to provide mortgage loans, referring to the rigid list of documents provided by law. - explains lawyer at Law Firm Nadmitov, Ivanov and partners Delgira Khodzhaeva. “To avoid such discrimination with reference to the law, the legislator decided to provide banks with the opportunity to approve the list of documents themselves based on banking practice.”
According to her, "these changes will have a positive impact on banking practices as they take into account the growing number of people working as self-employed." So, since the introduction of the experimental tax regime, many citizens have preferred it to official employment, the lawyer says.
