A Government Resolution has been adopted that clarifies the procedure for applying the provisions of the Federal Law on JSCs in relation to a number of strategically important companies. In the period from March 1 to December 31, 2025, JSCs have the right to hold a general meeting of shareholders on any issue by absentee voting if they are included in the government list and (or) meet the following criteria:
- JSC is included in the list of business entities that have the right to independently determine the composition and volume of information subject to disclosure;
- JSC is included in the list of strategic JSCs;
- JSC is a subsidiary or dependent company of a strategic JSC and operates in regions where the maximum or average response level has been introduced;
- temporary management has been introduced in relation to JSC shares;
- JSC is included in the list of organizations created to perform the tasks set before the Government and has more than 500 thousand shareholders.
The resolution entered into force on February 25, 2025.
